Meet The Blogger: Meet Michelle Of Le Lacquer Hook Up

It's that time again! It's Meet The Blogger Time! Today's Blogger is Michelle of  Le Lacquer  Hook up.

I think what I like most about today's Meet The Blogger is we get to see her fur baby!
Michelle's fave swatch
Hare Polish Pegasus + Rimmel Violet Swizzle.

What made you start a blog?
I started my blog as a hobby when I first entered college. Since I was a science major, I couldn't express myself creatively. I decided that swatching and creating nail art during my down time was the perfect solution for me. It also really helps me relax.

How long have you been blogging?
I have been blogging for 4 years now.

What would you say makes your blog unique?
I'm actually in the midst of changing my blog's direction. In the near future, I'd like my blog to be minimalist and classy, largely featuring nude and work-appropriate polishes to reflect myself entering this new chapter of my life. I have always called my blog a "journey" so I would like to reflect myself changing through life in this way. I changed my blog's layout not too long ago to illustrate this.

Have you ever reviewed a product that has become something you use all the time?
Um, does nail polish count? Haha! (But rly tho...)

What would you say is the downside of blogging?
I think the downside to blogging is always having the nagging feeling of always trying to be better and progress your skills (i.e. lighting, consistency, color accuracy, etc.), to be as good as others, to post more frequently, to gather more followers and views, and to get partnerships to review samples, among many other problems. Sometimes, you get so caught up that it no longer makes it a hobby or you happy. I have had to distance myself a couple times and take a hiatus so I could reignite the fire in me to continue blogging. In the end, the important thing is that it makes you happy.

Are you married? Do you have any kids and/or pets?
Not married or have kids! :) I do have a cat I call my baby though. Her name is Alice, and she's a 1-year-old white British shorthair. <3 She has heterochromia so one eye is blue while the other is gold.

When you aren't blogging what are you most likely doing?
Studying... Such is the life of a graduate student. Pain is temporary, but GPA is forever.

Is there a blogger that you look up to/admire?I really admire All Lacquered Up, also a nail polish swatcher, andThe Beauty Look Book,
a high-end beauty blogger. All Lacquered Up is always very consistent in her swatches, from lighting to pose, and has been with us since "the dawn of (nail polish blog) time." Meanwhile, I find The Beauty Look Book has amazing lighting, open white space, and flat lays. #bloggoals for both blogs!
Also, a special shoutout to all the bloggers who consistently blog! I really don't know how you all do it.

What is your least favorite product to blog about?
I think my least favorite product to blog about are stamping products because I always need to get mentally prepared for stamping to test them out! It is a real #firstworldproblem.

    Any advice for new bloggers?
I would say, figure out what you really want from blogging and in which direction you want to head toward. Make your blog as unique as you are! It is always best to create a blog that reflects you.

I would like to send a HUGE thank you to Ann for including me in her "Meet the Blogger" series! I really appreciate it. I would love to get to know the readers as well!
Awww, thanks Michelle! And thank you for being a part of Meet The Blogger.
