Meet The Blogger: Meet Roselynn of Manicured And Marvelous

It's time for another fun filled edition of Meet The Blogger!
This next blogger I was actually secretly fangirling out
because she's one of my absolute faves.
It's Roselynn from Manicured And Marvelous!

What make you start a blog?
I have always wanted to be a blogger, but I never had a passion for anything in particular. I only knew two things: I loved writing and I love connecting with people through writing. So for a long time I would start blogs that would never take off and just die within months. Then I discovered Instagram and somehow or another stumbled upon the nail community. Nail art was always something I loved doing privately so the idea of sharing it was mind-blowing. At the time I was in a long distance relationship with my now husband and it was brutal. So I decided to focus on nails to keep my mind busy and slowly I started to realize like, hey there is something more to this.

How long have you been blogging?
I have been steadily blogging now for almost three years. I started off only posting twice a week, to then three, to now five times Monday through Friday.

What would you say makes your blog unique?
Me. Oh god I sound like an ego-manic or something, haha. But I like to think that my voice in my writing is what makes my blog unique. I am definitely not one of those cut and dry, here is the description and formula kind of gal. I like adding my two cents on what I think of the shade on a personal level. Like if I’ll wear it again or if I think it clashes my skin-tone.

What's your favorite part of having a blog?
The interactions and relationships developed through blogging has got to be hands down my favorite part. Having a platform to be able to speak my mind with other people who share my interest... ahh there’s no words to describe what that means to me. The ability to share what I love doing with others is still something so mind-blowing to me to this day. I imagine the day it stops feeling like that I’ll probably need a break or something, haha.

Have you ever reviewed a product that has become something you use all the time?
About 90% of the products I use I end up using again and again. Maybe not right away, but I know my collection inside and out at this point.

Is there a blogger that you look up to/admire?
My biggest nail crush by far is Lisa fromhttp://www.cosmeticsanctuary.com followed by the amazing Angel from http://www.twi-star.com Both of these girls are my inspiration and are my fantasy nail goals. I totally sound like a fan-girl, but it’s so true!

When you aren't blogging what are you most likely doing?
Sleeping, haha. I actually have a lot of health issues at the moment so that is literally all I can do somedays is sleep. I’ll come home from work at 4PM and fall asleep until the next day at 6AM. It’s insane and very frustrating.

What is something you have to have while writing a blog post?
Netflix, all day every day. I binge through shows like crazy and re-watch all my favorites like Supernatural. I also love having music on and singing, but have tried to tone that day. I start singing and after a five hour swatch session I usually end up with no voice. Then I sound like Kermit the freaking frog when I am trying to do a voiceover.

Do you think your blog has changed of the years?
Definitely! There are the obvious things like poses and photo quality, but I think the biggest change has been me. I am a different person than when I started and I found my voice, which makes my writing personal. I think that’s my top priority when I am blogging actually. I want it to sound like I am talking one-on-one with my readers, as if I were right there in the room with them.

Are you married? Do you have any kids and/or pets?
I'm engaged currently though I do like to refer to him as my husband. We do live together and have been for three years now. We have three dogs together and no children yet. But my little Sophia is like my child, I've had her since she was two weeks old. So I nursed her, taught her how to walk, potty trained her..all that good stuff haha.

Any advice for new bloggers?
Don't worry about the numbers! I wasted so much energy thinking about the numbers nonstop and I honestly psyched myself out more than anything else. So just don't keep track of it at all and focus on why you're doing this to begin with. I sound like a freaking after-school special or something, but really your passion is your drive. With that passion running high you'll slowly learn everything else.

I can't believe one of my fave bloggers was part of Meet The Blogger plus se watches netflicks while blogging like me!
Thanks so much for being part of Meet The Blogger Roselynn!
