Vampy & Sparkle with Model City Polishes & Anchor & Heart Lacquer

It's finally feeling like fall over here! Everyday I go outside on my break from work & it just feels perfect, not too hot, not too cold, and just a tiny gust of wind.
So since its feeling like fall lets do a fall mani!

The colors I'm using today are Midnight Embers by Anchor & Heart Lacquer.

An oxblood red jelly formula with copper/gold shimmer, glass flecks plus copper holo micro glitter.

SB 32 September 2016 by Model City Polishes,
A clear base blend with small holographic stars and two sizes of silver ultra holo glitter.

I started off by using 2 coats of Midnight Embers followed by 1 coat of topcoat. Once dried I applied 1 coat of SB 32 September 2016 followed by 1 more coat of topcoat.

Meet The Blogger: Meet Nina Of Model City Polish

I'm Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm excited about today's Meet The Blogger because it's Nina of Model City Polish!!!!!'
Nina was the very first indie brand that I ever tried & I don't think too many people realize that she's a blogger too.

What make you start a blog?

I had always been a lover of nail polish and with my every growing collection I decided to start sharing my obsession with others.

How long have you been blogging

4 years

What would you say makes your blog unique?

I wouldn’t say my blog is super unique but that is okay with me.  I guess one thing that is slightly different than a majority is my nail shape.  I have always rocked rounded finished, it’s just a classic look. ❤

What's your favorite part of having a blog?

Uh, the polish! Duh!  Painting my nails is relaxing and I enjoy sharing off my work. ❤

Have you ever reviewed a product that has become something you use all the time?

Oh certainly!  SuperChic Lacquer Liquid Macro Top Coat is my number one top coat for sure.  LondonTown Cuticle Cream is the best thing ever and I use it weekly for my deep down treatment.

What would you say is the downside of blogging?

I can’t think of a whole lot negatives.  Maybe not enough days in the week to show of pretty lacquers?

Do you have a least favorite post that you've written?

Nope.  Even the old stuff, while the photos are not that great, it shows the growth and I feel is a great motivator to keep growing.

What is something you have to have while writing a blog post? Examples music, watching netflicks, drinking tea ect

Generally Netflix or Sling TV is playing non stop.  If I am writing, not painting, then I will most likely have a cat in my lap.

Do you think your blog has changed of the years?

I have certainly started adding more things I love in the recent months and am hoping to share more of my personal loves, like music, with my readers and followers.

Are you married? Do you have any kids and/or pets?

I am married with three fur babies.  I am married to my high school boyfriend and we celebrated being together for 19 years, married for 14, last month. ❤

Any advice for new bloggers?

Just do it!  When I started blogging I really didn’t think I had anything to offer that so many others

were not already doing.  I blog for myself and if anyone else checks it out then fantastic!  Avoid the

drama and just try to have fun with it. ❤
Thanks so much for being a part of Meet The Blogger Nina! You can find her at her blog & the following social media pages.

Butterflies Ombré with Vapid Lacquer & Model City Polishes

It happened again. I had an idea but once I executed it it didn't come out as I had planned. But it still turned out pretty good.

The colors I'm using today are
Himalayan Poppy by Model City Polishes,a bright sky blue crelly with blue flakies and splash of holographic pigment.
Doheny by Vapid Lacquer, a Yellow jelly polish shimmering with a linear holographic rainbows.
I started off with 2 coats of Himalayan Poppy on my outside nails & 2 coats of Doheny on my inside nails followed by 1 coat of topcoat. Once dry I applied a little bit of Himalayan Poppy on a sponge & applied to the nails that had Doney.
Next I applied several Butterfly decals from Toadarrific Vinyls & Vinyl It Up! on each nail then applied 1 more coat of topcoat.

Outside lighting
I was hoping it would look like the sky.
My first attempt at a macro! Not bad right? There is definitely room for improvement:
Inside lighting
I'm loving Doheny in this picture.
My original idea was add the blue on top of yellow to make it look like the sun & the sky. Granted it didn't turn out the way I planned but I think it turned out pretty cute.

Himalayan Poppy is currently discontinued:( but check out Model City's other colors at

Model City Fall Collection Part 1

Ever since I fell in love with Model City Polish I buy every single new collection. Seriously, I do.
So I'm going to show you part of the fall collection today, part 2 will have the rest plus the November small batches.

First up is  Cosmic Lovers,a dark blue holo.
Everyone that knows me knows I love blue nail polish so when Nina showed this polish in her fan group I knew I needed it in my life!
I used 2 coats plus a topcoat.
Seriously,I'm in love with this one.
Next is I'll Catch You,dark green holo.
When I saw this one I immediately thought of Paradisce City from Model City Polish, but this one is a little bit darker.
I used 2 coat plus a topcoat. Doesn't it look like a it would make a great color for christmas?
Last is Glowing Embers, an orange holo.
Orange is color I usually don't like & stay away from. However I really like the look of this one.
I used 2 coats plus a topcoat.
Also none of these stained! Another reason I love them.
Stay tuned, I'll have the rest of the collection later this week:)
