Every Tuesday I'll introduce you to a blogger & ask some question you so you'll get to know the person behind the keyboard.
This week it's Nichole of Bedlam Beauty!
When I asked several bloggers of they would be interest in being a part of this series Nichole was the first one who said yes, well actually she said "I volunteer as tribute"
I knew right there this was going to be fun:)

What make you start a blog?I started a blog with a long-time friend of mine a looooong time ago. She mentioned starting a polish/beauty blog and I told her that I'd be down for that. I have always been into nail polish, and beauty products in general. I even went to beauty school a million years ago.
How long have you been blogging?
Nearly four years in total now.
What would you say makes your blog unique?
I'd like to say that it is my sense of humor that makes me stand out in the crowd. I'm older than the average beauty blogger these days, so I feel like I am a little more comfortable with myself, and I am not as easily swayed by trends.
What's your favorite part of having a blog?
Absolutely falling into the world of indie polish is the best part. But I have met some hilariously awesome folks in the last year or so that I adore more than some family. I'd say that 90% of the community is just fabulous, and the ones who are awful generally get ground into dust.
Have you ever reviewed a product that has become something you use all the time? Most recently, it would be the Baroness X Matte cuticle balm. I use that stuff constantly while swatching, and I have wee pots of it stashed all over my house. That is pretty much the most constant. My tastes change so often that I generally don't repurchase things. There is always something awesome to try, if for no other reason than to compare it to my previous favorite.
What would you say is the downside of blogging? Honestly, there are some downsides to this glamorous hobby. It is acquisitive by nature, and as a blogger I am constantly looking for the next new thing. It does prevent me from really slowing down and enjoying the things I already have. My untried drawer grows daily. I am a sucker for a good sale...and there is always a sale.
Do you have a least favorite post that you've written?Hmmm. It depends on what you mean there. I can think of one post that makes me bristle because the product was such shit. I can think of another that I wrote that was really emotional for me, but the reason I wrote it makes me want to punch strangers in the face with a car.
What is something you have to have while writing a blog post? Examples music, watching netflicks, drinking tea ectI generally do all of my blogging during the day while my kids are at school. I drink coffee, listen to youtube videos or music, and argue with my cat. She is a bossy thing. While I do my swatches, I take a stupidly comprehensive set of notes, so my posts are half done before I even sit down.
Do you think your blog has changed of the years?I have definitely relaxed in my style. I have settled into a nice comfortable groove, and I am not so worried about someone not liking what I have to say.
Aesthetically, my current blog is definitely more "me" than the one I was on previous. I'm a pretty "colorful character" in real life...I mean, my hair is currently purple and fuchsia. Subdued and muted is really not my thing.
Are you married? Do you have any kids and/or pets?I am totally married. This year will be #17 for me...I think. I have two daughters aged 8 and 5...and a grouchy cat who is pushing 12. She was my practice baby. Now she is my favorite furry paperweight.
Any advice for new bloggers? My advice would be to relax. Do what makes you happy, and other people will naturally respond to that positive energy. All you really need is moderately good pictures, a friendly attitude, and a firm grasp of whatever language you choose to blog in. You don't need a fancy camera, a lightbox, and giant studio lights to blog about nail polish. Nowadays, cell phones have excellent cameras, and you can't beat natural light when it comes to getting a good solid picture.
