What made you start a blog? I have always loved writing and when I realized I could put it and my nail art together I thought well why not! Plus I’ve always loved computer related things and thought it would be neat to run my own site which all just went together really well.
How long have you been blogging? I started my blog January 21st of 2015, and it had been a long time coming. I had actually started Instagraming my nails in August of 2012, but not regularly until the summer of 2013.
What would you say makes your blog unique? I like to think mine is a bit more unique because I like to make it personable. I didn’t wasn’t to just list off what I use and how I did the look. I have always loved reading things where the person writes like they talk if that makes sense, so that is what I try to do. Also I love to have a variety of post types. By that I mean, swatches, art, videos, and collaborations. Just fun things and keeping people interested.
What's your favorite part of having a blog? I love all of it honestly, I love the interaction with others who have the same interests, and I love getting to work with so many amazing people. Overall running a blog is just fun.
Have you ever reviewed a product that has become something you use all the time? Absolutely! I have found brands in general now that I just love and have become my go to brands.
What would you say is the downside of blogging? I would say the downside is that even though you may have what you thought to be a great post it may not even be read. There are a lot of people who love the pictures which I do too, but some will just look at the photos and not read what you wrote. So therefore there is less commenting/interaction with the readers which is sad because I love that part.
Do you have a least favorite post that you've written? Yes, actually probably a group of them. Haha! They would be the ones from the first few months of blogging where they were really just basic and not all that unique. Plus occasionally you will do a mani that just isn’t the best and that can set the whole mood for a post.
What is something you have to have while writing a blog post? When I am writing a post I have to have music on for sure! I pretty much have to have music on for everything I do!
Do you think your blog has changed of the years? Yes, mine has only been open for little over a year but even in the past so many months it has changed, with formats and such of just me finding better ways to do things
Are you married? Nope, a bit too young for that right now !
Do you have any kids/pets? We do have a pet, who I refer to as my little sister! Her name is Dixie and she is a Cavalier Kings Charles. She is the sweetest little girl ever.
Any advice for new bloggers? Don’t hold back. If you have a neat idea for a post just do it and don’t stress on your view count. View counts are great and all but they don’t gauge how good you are. The first few months of blogging its you learning how to do everything, and how to promote each blog post. Once you find what works best for you things will all be worth it!
