Meet The Blogger: Meet Dina Of Secretary's Nail Art

Yay!!!!! It's Tuesday, so you know what that means? It's time for Meet The Blogger!!!!
Today's Blogger is Dina from Secretary's Nail Art

What make you start a blog?
After having spent hours on doing my nails, I started taking pictures of my progress to share on facebook with friends and family. Never having been a girly-girl growing up I was fascinated over the fact that this had become a hobby of mine.
Back then I used to work as a Secretary and I needed to look the part.
The pencil skirt, hair in a bun, and now… the nails.
The day I did the company logo on my nails, my boss was wondering if I had a blog, and that if I didn’t I should make one.
Couple of weeks later on a vacation in Spain, surfing on the little laptop I had brought with me, I took the leap and made a blog. Aptly named Secretary’s Nail Art.
How long have you been blogging?
I am swiftly approaching my 4th year anniversary, and started the blog June 2012.
What would you say makes your blog unique?
Being a professional Secretary is about analyzing, deconstructing and interpret data, and I suppose this shines through on my blog.
One of my other hobbies is programming, small stuff as I am not all that great in it yet, but I have spent hours on the visual aspect of the blog with coding a dropdrown menu and embedding a photo gallery using Pinterest.
Hope that is something my viewers will appreciate.
Have you ever reviewed a product that has become something you use all the time?
The products I have had sent for reviews have mostly been waterdecals, stickers and stamping plates, but the thing I have loved the most, and used so many times since I received it, is my squishy marshmallow stamper. Those things are pretty awesome.
What would you say is the downside of blogging?
It is extremely time consuming. When I was unemployed I discovered just how much time you can spend on all of this, and you have to be good at time management in order to get stuff done.
 Running a one-woman-show takes dedication.
You are not just the nail artist; you are the photographer, the programmer, the writer, the editor, publisher, the whole team.
Are you married?
No, and not sure I ever will be.
Do you have any kids and/or pets?
No, I have been travelling around a lot the past 4 years, so it’s been impossible to have pets. This is actually the longest I have stayed in one place since I left Norway. If I got a good enough job that I knew I could settle down with I would get a cat straight away.
When you aren't blogging what are you most likely doing?
If I am not on the computer playing games you will most likely find me in the kitchen cooking or baking something. I was raised in a very traditional home and learned a lot about running a household, but the things that I loved the most was sitting in the kitchen with a cuppa and make cakes and chat with my grandma.
Is there a blogger that you look up to/admire?
There are many bloggers I could mention here, but perhaps the most important one is Lacquer Or Leave Her! She started at the same time as me, and we have chatted together for hours and hours and grown together as bloggers. When I moved to Northern Ireland she made me a custom polish that she named: Irish Rain, it sits in a Plexiglas box on display in my nail cave.
What is your least favorite product to blog about?
I am not sure; I think that would have to be base and topcoats. That thing rely heavily on body chemistry, and depends on other products used alongside it, to work well for people.
Any advice for new bloggers?
Don’t take the naming of the blog lightly. I have heard so many people complain about the name of their blog after a year or two. Be sure that you absolutely love it, before you make that blog.
Don’t compare your blogging journey with others, we are all different.
Don’t lose sight of why you are blogging.
Write down your blogging goals, be it to make one post a week or four. Every 6 months look back at those goals, are they still your goals?
