Holo'd Christmas with Dreamland Lacquer & Top Shelf Lacquer

Today marks the end of 7 Days Of Christmas In July:(  While I'm not ready for it to be Christmas just yet I have been enjoying my festive nails. To close today it's a simple mani that probably a lot of people do at Christmas.

The colors I'm using today are:
Kenyan Sunset by Dreamland Lacquer.
A raspberry colored holo polish with a strong linear holo finish.
&
Seafoam Sangria by Top Shelf Lacquer.
A  Linear and Scattered Holo in a Vibrant Teal Jelly Base.

All I did was use 2 coat of Kenyan Sunset on every other nail & 2 coats of Seafoam Sangria on the opposite nails followed by 1 coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Topcoat.

Simple Christmas with Model City Polish

It's day 6 of 7 Days Of Christmas In July & today I decided to keep it simple & easy.

Today's color is
SB09 September 2015 by Model City Polishes.

A pale gray holographic blend with a soft, subtle purple shimmer shift.
I started off with 2 coats of SB September 2015 followed by 1 coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Topcoat. Once dried using tweezers I applied the Santa hat & Christ tree decals by Toadarrific Vinyls on each nail. Next using tweezers again, I applied gold rhinestones on the top of each Christmas tree followed by 1 more coat of HK girl topcoat to seal it all in place.

Not bad right? I picked SB September 2015 because it reminded me of snow. And Christmas trees goes perfectly with snow!

Model City Polish Etsy Shop is closed till August 1st.

Santa hats & Christmas trees are currently unavailable but send a message to
Toadarrific Vinyls Storenvy Shop and she'll be happy to make them for you

Meet The Blogger: Meet Megan Of Mindfully Polished

It's Meet The Blogger Time!
Today's Blogger is Megan of  Mindfully Polished
What's so cool about Megan is she started out as an Instagram Blogger before she started her blog.

What made you start a blog?
I began by posting all of my manis and swatches on Instagram, but decided that I needed an outlet to be able to provide more descriptions and to chat a bit more. I also like to do multiple shots of each polish that I post, and figured that a blog would be the best place to do so!

How long have you been blogging?
I have been blogging since January 2016.

What would you say makes your blog unique?
I try to provide as much description about the polishes that I blog about as I can, while also staying within reason. I also like to link almost EVERYTHING that I use, as I know readers like to know where to find specific polishes and materials.

What's your favorite part of having a blog?
I love being able to express my love for polish, and sharing that love with others who have the same passion. There aren’t too many people in my every day, non-internet life who have a passion for polish; so, when I am able to share with those who do, it makes me happy!

Have you ever reviewed a product that has become something you use all the time?
I’ve bought a product to review, and I do now use it all of the time! (Baroness X’s Matte Cuticle Balm :D)

What would you say is the downside of blogging?
Trying to find a specific schedule to stick to, in regards to typing up and sharing posts. Sometimes I have the time to do a post every day, and others, I post every 2-3 days. I know that the consistency is something that readers/followers like, but I get caught up in life sometimes and have trouble staying on one specific schedule.

Do you have a least favorite post that you've written?
Ugh, the second post that I ever wrote. I literally had one picture and one paragraph, and it seems SO SHORT! I like to have more details and photos in my posts now, so that one makes me cringe.

What is something you have to have while writing a blog post? Examples music, watching netflicks, drinking tea ect
I like to have some type of background noise- either a television show or music!

Do you think your blog has changed of the years?
I definitely think that my blog has changed since I began! I’ve asked for a lot of advice from other bloggers, and from makers, as to how to improve upon what I do. As a result, my lighting has improved, and my pictures have become clearer and more color-accurate.

Are you married? Do you have any kids and/or pets?
I’m not married, and don’t have any human babies. I do have a fur baby, though! He is a Shetland Sheepdog named Joey, and he is the furry love of my life!

What was it like when you found out you were getting your first press samples?
I received my first press samples when I was an Instagram-only swatcher, and it was honestly one of the most joyous moments of my polishing life. I felt so honored that the maker wanted to give me the chance to swatch and review some of her polishes. I was also pretty nervous and afraid that I would not be able to produce swatches and photos that were up to par, in comparison to other swatchers that I have seen. To this day, when I do receive offers to swatch/review, I still feel both honored and anxious.

Any advice for new bloggers?
KEEP WORKING ON IT!! You may have some hesitation at first, but this community is so helpful and supportive. If you feel down, just try to remember why you fell in love with polish in the first place, and that will get you through any funk that may occur!

Thanks so much for being part of Meet The Blogger Megan! You can find her at her blog & the following social media pages.

Beside releasing polishes, Turtle Tootsie is also release some brand new products!
First items are new scented topcoats!
I have a love/hate relationship with these, because they make me hungry after using them!
These scents are watermelon & funnel cake. And believe me they are so true to the real scent!
Also I seriously love how the bottom says do not eat, I know I've shown this before but I mean is so funny right?

Along with these 2 there are 2 more being released, Anniversary Cake & Cotton Candy.
These will $4 for a bottle.

Next are brand new hair ties!
First set is Patriotic,so festive right?

Next is Beach themed, aren't these adorable?

The next newest product is Liquid Latex! Liquid Latex is used for around your cuticles & fingers for when your doing nail art.  What neat is this one is scented! It's Cotton Candy scented, now at first you don't smell it when you open the bottle but once you start applying it then you smell it.
Liquid Latex will be $4 for a 6ml bottle or $6 for a 12ml bottle

Next newest product is cuticle oil!
I'm a fan of cuticle oil so this make me so happy! Plus it's bubble gum scented!  It's absorbed well, not super fast but my cuticles felt soft afterward.
Besides the roller ball they will also be availible in mini bottles!
Next is lip balms! I love all natural lip balms so I was thrilled to see this!
Once I tried it my lips were thanking me, plus it smelled so good!
There will be 10 flavors of lip balm
Flavors are as follows:  red licorice, pink lemonade, cotton candy, caramel corn, pineapple, root beer, watermelon, pizza, bubblegum, and fruit loops! Price will be $3/each, pick any 4 for $10 or 1 of all ten for $20
Last but not least is lip scrubs! I was introduced to lip scrubs last year by my BFF, so I was excited to see a this.
This one is  Cotton Candy.
It worked so well & tasted good too, now I have a new fave lip scrub & I don't have to pay that outrageous prices at Sephora.

Besides Cotton Candy flavor Bubble Gum is also being released for $3 a jar.

Isn't this all exciting? But wait there's more!

The first 20 orders will receive a free carnival decal from Toadarrific Vinyls.
